June is Italian Heritage Month! It was an honour and pleasure to be part of a music event created to celebrate our Italian heritage through the music of Italian-Canadian women! Vorrei Fossi Qui – Wish You Were Here, presented by the Italian Cultural Institute of Toronto, featured an inspiring line-up of musicians: Tafelmusick artistic director and baroque violinist, Elisa Citterio, soprano Sara Papini, and singer-songwriters Daniela Nardi, Andrea Ramolo, and me. During this time of Covid we could not be together to share this music with you but instead were filmed either at the IIC, or at home. The event was shared with a live-stream of comments from near and far, and a Q&A at the end where each artist shared personal stories and insights into creative process. Unfortunately we lost all your wonderful comments since there were some glitches in the transmission so the video had be re-uploaded. There’s always an opportunity to reach out and say hello though! 🙂

Thank you to Alessandro Ruggera and all that keep Italian culture thriving in our city at the IIC! Your constant support is incredibly meaningful to me! Grazie di cuore!
